About the founder
Local Magik is built by Ben Carcio, who grew up working at his parents' small business, Cold River Package. What stuck with him wasn't just the long hours behind the counter — it was the people who showed up to help his parents get better: reps and neighbors sharing tools and tactics, from marketing to inventory planning. Small-business owners succeed when someone brings them the right help at the right moment.
He's spent his career building exactly that. Ben co-founded and led Promoboxx, the retail marketing platform that connects national brands with thousands of local retailers, and is a Techstars Boston alum and mentor. Local Magik is the same mission at a smaller, more personal scale: the marketing work an owner never gets to, done with one click — and never shipped without their sign-off.

What is Local Magik?
Local Magik is a workflow platform for local and small businesses. Recurring work — like the weekly newsletter — becomes a Magik Button: click it, answer a few questions, review the draft, approve, and it ships. You never configure workflows or write prompts.
What is a Magik Button?
A Magik Button is a reusable one-click workflow. Each click starts a run that asks you a few contextual questions, drafts the work with AI in your brand voice, pauses for your review and approval, and then sends or publishes the result.
Does AI send things without my approval?
No. Every run pauses at a human approval gate before anything leaves the building. Nothing is emailed, posted, or published until you approve it — that rule is enforced by the workflow engine itself, not just policy.
Who is Local Magik for?
Small-business owners and operators who know what needs to go out — newsletters, updates, briefs — but never have time to produce it. If marketing is the job you do at 11pm, Magik Buttons are for you.
